EDUCATIONAL AND ISLAMIC LEARNING SERVICES
Weekend Qur’anic School and Islamic studies classes are available whole the year. Monroe Islamic Center weekend school is open 10:15 am – 2:00 pm Sundays.
Our curriculum is based on authentic Islamic teachings.
- Memorization of Qur’an
- Tawheed (Islamic monotheism, oneness of Allah)
- Aqeedah (Islamic creed, belief)
- Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence)
- Adaab (Islamic manners, etiquette)
We only take children between the ages of 5 and 15 years old with few exceptions. We take new students throughout the year provided there is a space available. If the school is full, new students have to fill-out a Waiting List Form and will be called as soon as space becomes available on first come first will be serve up.
We announce all parents: If you would like to register your child for the Qur’anic school, please follow these steps: Ask if there is a space available and fill out the Registration Form and pay the fee. If the school is full, fill out a Waiting List Form for future consideration. All students should sign the masjid Qur’anic school policy the rules and regulations.
School usually starts in Aug/Sep every year and ends by May/June time frame.
Each Sunday 3 classes are taught.

Excellent Attendance is one of the keys to student success. Students are expected to attend school unless there is a valid excuse. If there is absence parents must send in an excuse for the absence when student returns to school, otherwise it will be considered unexcused absent and it’s the student’s responsibility to make up all the lessons missed with 3 days excused absence
